On 5/22/2011, Katie Jones, Kathy Jones, Megan Jones, and Kelsey Finney threw Baby Preston and I the most fabulous shower! We had such a great time and got so many wonderful things! I am so thankful to have such wonderful people in my life like the Jones girls to do this for me! Thanks again from the bottom of my heart for throwing this wonderful shower. You guys are like a 2nd family to me and I can't wait for Baby Preston to meet all of you! Lots of love!

32 Weeks Pregnant!

Hey guys!
This has really been an interesting couple of months! I have no reason not to have blogged except for the fact that we have been getting ready for our precious angel! We have spent many hours in his room getting it just the way we want it! I am slightly OCD so you know what that means! It must be perfect! Its crazy to believe that we are only 8 weeks out from my due date! We know that Dr. Cole is going to take him at 37 weeks so we are really only 5 weeks from meeting our precious angel
   As I look back over this whole experience, it is pretty unbelievable to believe what a miracle baby Preston Hampton Gough IV is truly going to be. After having the miscarriage, it was really unsure if we would be able to even carry a baby much less get him to where we are today! Dr. Cole tells me each time we go for a check up that she didn't think we would ever get this far. This road has not been easy and has been an emotional roller coaster. We have worried about him every step of the way and constantly worry that something is going to happen to him. We meet a huge milestone this week by carrying him to 32 weeks. This is where the Drs say that the risk of premature complications decrease A TON! We are so thankful that God has gotten us this far!
   I went to the Dr on 6/9/2011 for my 32 weeks check up. While I was there, I explained to Dr Cole that I have been having alot of tightening in my stomach and have had some lower back pain. This is not exactly what she wanted to hear. She immediately told me that I would be put on bed rest till the following Tuesday and that she would bring me back in for a ultrasound and to determine if I would be able to return back to work! I was not shocked by this new. To be honest with you, I really thought that she would have put me on bed rest much earlier than she did. She is trying to get us a little farther along before we meet our baby boy so hopefully he will be a good weight and will not have to spend much time in the NICU unit.
   Please continue to pray for us as we get closer and closer to our due date. We are ready to meet our baby boy but know that its best for him to stay in just a little bit longer. I promise I will keep you guys updated from now on! I should have plenty of time on my hands! :) I am currently downloading pictures from all of my showers so will be blogging on those this afternoon!

Gender Announcement Party!!

Hey guys!! I hope you guys are having a wonderful week!! Here are some pictures from our Gender Announcement Party! We had such an incredible time and would not have changed this party for anything. It was so special to have all our friends and family together to find out at this exact same time! We put our parents (and apparently Brandon) front and center so that we could all see their reactions. They were all very excited to find out that we were have a baby boy!

HEY BLOGGER FRIENDS!

Preston and I are sooo thrilled to announce that we are 12 weeks pregnant!

I know what you are thinking! How did you keep it that long?? Its so easy to keep it once you have had a bad experience! Preston and I have prayed sooo hard for this precious miracle and its health! Today, we went to see Dr. Cole and she told us that everything look perfect and that she really thought things were going to work out this time! What?? Things are going to actually work out for us! Yay!!! GOD IS SOOO GOOD! Preston and I found out we were pregnant Thanksgiving Day and we have been so excited since then!

This was the picture that we gave our parents over Christmas to announce to them that we were pregnant! Our parents were so precious and both sooo excited! You could tell they were as anxious and scared as we were! Preston and I have been so very nervous over the last several weeks and just praying that everything would go well. AND IT HAS!

This is our precious angel that we have been praying for!! How cute is he/she! I really think that he/she looks like me! haha!

I want to take two seconds and get sentimental. I want to thank each and everyone of you for all the prayers, love, and support that you have given me and Preston over the last year! Without each of you and your prayers, Preston and I would not be where we are today!!

Here is the moto I am going by at this moment:

Missy and Wes Wedding Celebration

Hey blogger friends! IK know it has been entirely to long and I have so much to catch up on but I thought I would start with the wedding reception Preston and I went to on Saturday night. One of my best friends from college Missy went off to St. John and got married about a month ago! They came back here and had a wedding celebration Saturday night! Preston and I had such a good time. Egg Bowl 2010!!!

Hey my blogger buddies! It has been soo long since I posted! Did you think I had forgotten about you?!? I know you get tired of me saying this but Preston and I have been so busy lately and I really just have not had time to get on her and update!! I want to wish everyone a happy "late" Thanksgiving! I hope everyone had a great holiday full with love and family! I know Preston and I sure did! We were lucky enough to get to spend the day with both of our families! People always ask me if I miss going to Thanksgiving with my family when I am with Prestons family? First, I don't consider our families separate! Prestons family is also my family and I love spending time with them! Second of all, we always try to get by and see both of our families!! We are very lucky in that since!

Yesterday, Preston and I got to continue our love for Mississippi State Football! We went to the Egg bowl! And for you guys that don't know... MSU WON!!!! It was such an exciting game! Preston and I love going to MSU football games especially out of town ones! Thanks so much to our best friends Matt and Jenna Nassar for allowing us (and my parents) to come into their tailgate and letting us tailgate with them! We had such a great time and it was even better considering the Dawgs pulled out a big win!

My precious parents! We would not imagine going to the games with anyone else! It is such a family tradition that we have all started! My sister and her family were not at this one but they are usually right there with us!

Ok so now I am going to get on a roll! The following picture is one of the stickers that Ole Miss had printed up for this game! Kick the Hicks!!! Really??? Really?? We are all front the same state! You are just as much as a hick as I am. As a matter of fact, you live right next door!!! Ok I am done!! Thanks for allowing me to vent.....again!

Since the stickers made us made, we decided to make them funny! This was the sticker that Preston was wearing at the game! If we are hicks then we should say GO HICKS GO because these hicks beat you!!!

So, I have always heard about Oxford and how much fun the grove was! It is very fun and a great school! I just saw some funny sights and thought I would blog about them! I spent most of the afternoon in the grove looking for funny things that made me laugh!! Please note that I am very aware that their are crazy people that come to Starkville and I am sure that I could get the same number or more funny pictures of people in Starkville!

Zesty Parmesan Chicken

Hey bloggers! Happy Halloween! I didn't really have anything to blog about so thought I would give you guys a great recipe! My sister in law gave me this recipe and its so good!

3-4 boneless skinless chicken breasts

Zesty Italian Salad Dressing (in the bottle)

Parmesan Cheese (Kraft powder kind)

Lemon Juice

Progresso Italian Style bread crumbs

Marinate the chicken for several hours in zesty Italian dressing, parmesan cheese and lemon juice. Again, I don't measure any of those things (I put a lot), but I don't think you can mess it up.

Pour chicken and marinade mixture into a 9 x 13 pan. Top chicken with bread crumbs and more parmesan cheese. Bake at 350 uncovered for 1 hour.

Trip to Houston

Hello blogger buddies! It has been a while since I have blogged! Things have really been insane around here! We have been so busy but are very thankful for all the fun times we have had with family/friends lately! Here are some pictures from our Houston trip:

What has been up with the Gough's lately you might ask??

(1) Missys bachelorette party last weekend! We went a limo and went to Vicksburg to the Ameristar. We had such a great time and Missy got lots of fun things to start her marriage off right with!

(2) Our friends Kim and Rob had a garage sale in which I helped with. Or shall I say went by and talked because they has it UNDER CONTROL! They raised 4000 dollars to help bring their daughter Ansley home! Oh yeah and btw...They have gotten their referral for their little girl and she is absolutely the cutest thing I have every seen.

(3) Mississippi State is #23 in the nation. Really?? Mississippi State! YES!!!

(4) I had my annual Mississippi Children's Home membership tea to introduce our potential new members to the members! We has such a great turn out and a wonderful time. Thanks to my friends who were able to make it! I hope anyone who is interested in doing charity work will email me and find out more about the MSCH Auxiliary! Its been a true blessing in my life.

(5) Some of our close friends Tommy and Amy had their baby on Friday. Preston and I went by there to visit them and I got to hold precious Scott Thomas. He is sooo precious and I cant wait to watch him grow. I may have gotten even MORE baby fever by holding him! :)

Here is some photos of things that have been going on in our life over the last several days!! As I mentioned in a prior post, I recently went to a baby shower for my good friend Miranda Creely who is expecting her 3rd baby boy at the end of this month! We had such a good time at her shower and I cant wait to meet her new precious bundle of joy!

Last weekend, Preston and I got our tailgating stuff together, cowbells in hand, and headed to Starkville to watch the bulldogs play! Preston and I absolutely love traveling to Starkville to watch the dawgs play!! As most of you know, this game ended in a win for THE DAWGS!!!!

On Thursday night, Preston and I went to Mermaid Cafe to celebrate one of my best friends 25th birthday! We had such a great time catching up with great friends and eating good food. HAPPY 25TH BIRTHDAY MARTHA!! I love you and you are an amazing friend!

We had a great surprise at Martha's birthday party!! Kathryn surprised us and stayed an extra night to spend her birthday with her! I had such a great time getting to spend a couple of days with her! Kathryn was here working with the Viking Classic! She and I have been great friends since college and I don't get to see her near as much as I would like! It was so good to have her up from the Coast here with us in Jackson! I had such a great time getting to visit with you Kathryn and can't wait till I get to hang out with you again soon!

As many of you know, I am SLIGHTLY obsessed with my nephew Coleson! He is my precious buddy and I LOVE LOVE LOVE picking him up from daycare. On Friday, I got a great surprise of getting off work around 1:30! So what did I do, I went and picked Coleson up from daycare. The best thing in the world is to see how excited he gets when he sees you at the door to get him. Once I picked him up, we went to Sweet Tree Yogurt and enjoyed a yogurt treat. If you are unfamiliar with this place, you get to pick out your ice cream flavor and then you get to go around and pick out toppings. Of course being the amazing Aunt that I am, I let him pick out his own toppings! We had an interesting ice cream sundae but we had a good time picking it out and eating it! We then went up to Uncle P's work to visit. Coleson loved running around his office and meeting all the secretaries. They all thought he was so cute! DUH! We then went to Stephanies work! He loves going into Mr. Gough's office and seeing the "dog." The dog is actually a stuffed fox but you know??

Today, Preston, Mom, Dad, and I headed back to Starkville to watch the dawgs play Alcorn State. I do have to say that this was a very boring game. The best part of the game was the band!!! or should I say the Golden Girls! Wow.. I would give anything to be able to "shake" it like these girls do!

Sorry for the long blog that was filled with pictures. I have been so busy lately that I really have not had much time to sit down and download pictures and blog!

Hope you guys all had a wonderful week! This is going to be a four day week for Preston and I! We will be flying out to Houston on Friday to watch the dawgs play!

Recipe for the Day!

Chicken & Spinach Lasagna Alfredo

20 uncooked lasagna noodles (whole wheat takes 12 b/c thinner)

2 jar of Alfredo Sauce- (Classico)

1/2 cup of milk

3 teaspoons dried oregano leaves

4 pounds boneless chicken breasts (cooked and chopped)

1/2 cup finely chopped white onion

2 garlic clove, pressed

6cups shredded mozzarella cheese

8 ounces crumbled feta cheese

4 cups packed fresh baby spinach leaves

2 can rotel tomatoes (drained)

Optional: 1 can or fresh mushrooms and 1 can artichoke hearts in water (drained & chopped)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cook noodles using shortest cook time and drain. In a small bowl, combine Alfredo sauce, milk and oregano. Use a whisk and blend. Chop chicken after cooking. In a large bowl, mix the chicken, rotel tomatoes, onions, mozzarella, feta, & garlic. To assemble lasagna, spread 2/3 cup of the Alfredo sauce mixture over bottom of Lasagna Pan. Top with half of the noodles, overlapping to fit. Layer half of the spinach leaves, and then top with half of the chicken mixture. Repeat layers, starting with half of the remaining Alfredo sauce mixture. After layering, pour remaining of Alfredo sauce over top of the lasagna. Cover with aluminum foil and bake 45 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 10-15 minutes until bubbly. Remove from oven and let it stand for 15 minutes.

Mississippi State Woo Ya Damn right!

Preston and I got up early yesterday morning and headed to Starkville with Mom and Dad! This is a family tradition that we have had for several years now and I would not trade it for ANYTHING! We met Stephanie, Dennis, and my precious angel at the tailgate to grill out and celebrate our bulldogs. This year we decided to celebrate with some of our best friends Martha and Will and Martha's parents. This has been soooo much fun! I love her family and we have a great time tailgating together! I look forward to many years of tailgating with them! Also, it is always soo good to see old friends in Starkville. There were so many of our great friends from college there this weekend and it was so nice to be able to catch up with them and get a chance to spend some time with them! I hope everyone has had as great of a weekend as Preston and I have had!

And just for the record, its always much more fun to leave Starkville with a win! Go Dawgs!

Miranda's Baby Shower!

Tonight, I had the pleasure of going to one of my very good friends baby showers. Miranda has been such a special person in my life and I was so excited to go to Bonefish tonight to celebrate her baby shower! She is due in November and is SUCH a precious pregnant person. Congrats Miranda on your 3rd baby boy! I am so excited for you and can not wait to meet the precious baby boy! Pictures to come soon!

Weird Wednesday

I do have to say that today started out horrible. I did not realize how angry I could get at someone who mentioned the fact that I had a miscarriage. I realized how much bottled up emotions I still had about the things that have happened over the last several months.

Here is the story:

So today our AFLAC representative came to work to see if any of us wanted to add another policy. He always starts out by asking us is there is any of the policies that we would have used over the last several months. So I MESSED up and told him that I actually could have used the hospitalization plan twice over the last several months! BAD IDEA! He then ask me why. I then explained to him that I had recently had a miscarriage and had to have several to help improve the problem. He then proceeds to tell me that I could have gotten 2300 dollars for my miscarriage. I nicely looked at him and stated, "I was not really concerned about money when lost my precious baby!" He kinda laughed it off and asked me if I was planning on trying again. After thinking this is really none of his business, I proceeded to tell him that I did want to have another baby soon and that I was really looking forward to being a mom! And then, he tells me that I might should get the hospitalization policy now because one in three women who have a miscarriage have another one. What??? Did he really say this to me?? I was DEVASTATED! I never in my life have met someone as sensitive as he was being at this very moment! I gave him a very ugly look and proceeded to go into the therapy gym. I do have to admit that I got extremely upset about this. Thanks so much to my coworkers Stacy, Will, and Paul for helping me get over this and put a smile back on my face! Although I truely believe that he was just trying to sale a policy and that he did not mean to hurt me I still believe that there was a better way to handle this!

So, needless to say, I will not be purchasing a policy for him or from AFLAC for that matter!!

I month since surgery

Tomorrow will be 1 month since I had my septum surgery. Its amazing how easy this surgery went and how easy the recovery was for me. I am so thankful that there were no complications and that its out of the way. As I sit here and write this blog, it makes me think of everything that Preston and I have experienced in the bast 2 months. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about and look at the picture our precious baby that we lost. That precious heartbeat and sonogram picture will always hold a special place in our heart. We are so thankful that we have been able to figure out the cause of the problem and have it fixed!

So you might ask, "What's the next step?" The next step it to call my doctor in 10 days and tell him how my cycle has gone since the surgery! Everything has been fine and right on time. This is SUCH good news! He will then tells us that we can begin trying again or that we should continue to wait. Preston and I will then have to decide where we stand and if we are ready to start this process over!

Please pray for Preston and I as we continue to grow together and as we make life changing decisions over the next several months. Pray that as we make these decisions God will continue to keep me healthy and we allow my body to continue to heal!

Recipe Corner

South Western Chicken Pasta

16 oz angel hair pasta

1 jar salsa

16 oz carton of sour cream

1 small can of green chillies

6 to 8 chicken breast (I did not use that many but its up to you)

8 oz Velveeta cheese

Cook pasta; drain. Spread on the bottom of a baking dish. Saute breast in electric skillet. Cut the chicken into small cubes. Pour salsa in a bowl. Add slices of cheese. Microwave until creamy. Add chillies. Stir in sour cream. Add chicken to the cheese mixture. Pour over pasta. Bake on 375 degrees for 40 minutes or until edges are brown.

I made this tonight for dinner. It was sooo good. Preston even said tht we needed to add it to our rotation of things that we eat on a regular basis! This is huge when he says this! It was sooo easy to prepare and did not take very long at all.

Hey bloggers! I hope you all have had a fabulous weekend! This weekend was very busy for Preston and I! Actually, Preston and I did not see each other at all this weekend. On Friday, Preston left to go to a "boys" weekend at one of his friends lake house with 15 of his fraternity brothers! Preston was soo excited about this weekend and has been looking forward to it for a while! I actually was not excited about him going! For most of you that know me well, I DONT stay by myself! It scares me and I get nervous about the idea of staying alone! Also, this was the first time that Preston and I have really been apart since everything that has gone on in our life! I have actually gotten really dependent on him and don't like to be away from him. I expected our miscarriage this to affect us emotionally but did not expect it to bring us closer together! Oh how God works in weird ways! So you ask what did you do?? I moved in with the parents for the weekend! I had a great time hanging out with them and it was much needed family time. On Friday, we went to Vasilios to eat dinner. My parents had never eaten there before and its one of mine and Preston's favorites! It was fun to show them a new restaurant in Jackson.

On Saturday, I went to a football game party that our Sunday School teacher and his wife was throwing at their house! It was so much fun! I do have to admit that I was a little nervous about going alone! Once I got there though, it was soo much fun! Preston and I have met SOO many wonderful people through our Sunday school and I know they will be life long friends of ours! I want to thank each and ever one of you for making me feel comfortable at the party last night and not making me feel alone!

The game that we were watching did not turn out like I wanted it too! I would love to have seen Mississippi State pull out a win but at this point I really wish we could just throw it to our own team! Speaking of Mississippi State, my precious nephew Coleson now says "Go Dawgs!" How precious is that?? It warmed my heart when my sister called me last night and got him to say that!! Preston made it back about 2:00 oclock today and we have just been hanging out and spending time together! Hope you guys had a great weekend!

Bachelorette Party!

This past weekend I went to Gulf Shores, AL to celebrate one of my good friends getting married. My best friend from high school Katie's little sister is getting married in November so we took her out this weekend for one last night single! We had such a wonderful time. It is so good to get away and spend some time with girls! Here are some pictures from the weekend...

Although it was so fun to have some girl time, I was so excited to get home to my sweet Preston! This was the first time I had been away from him since everything that has happened and I missed him more than I ever thought I could in two days!

Life Since Surgery....

Hey blogger buddies! Hope things are going well for you guys! Preston and I have been sooo busy since I last posted. I am so sorry that I have not updated since I had surgery. The surgery went well and my recovery was much better then I ever thought it would! I really was never in pain and really just needed to sleep off the medications to get better. We did have a scare when my temperature spiked shortly after surgery but after going to the doctor it was determined that everything was fine!

It has been over 3 weeks since I had the surgery now. I feel better than ever and would never know that anything happened to me. We are spending lots of time together with family and friends while we continue to wait for me to heal!! We are so thankful that everything went so well and that I did not develop any complications from the surgery.

What now??? We continue wait!!! :)

Second Appointment with Specialist and Surgery

SOOO much has happened since I last blogged! First of all, I went back to my specialist on Wednesday. Since Preston has been taking off work so much lately, my mom decided to she would go with me and let Preston stay at work. After doing a test on my uterus, he decided that surgery would be what he recommended for us. Preston and I had already decided that we thought surgery was best and we had set our minds on having surgery the middle of September. To our suprise, Dr. Hines asked me when I wanted to have surgery. I told him that I could do it right then. He looked at me and smiled and said "What about Friday??" Really?? Friday? I was so shocked that I was like yes without even thinking! He told me that I would have to come back the next day for my pre op and that he would be admitting me to the hospital at 10 am on Friday. All of this happened so fast that I realized that Preston was not with me and that he had no idea that we had planned all of this. When I got in my car, I called Preston to tell him what all had just happened. He was so excited that we were getting it out of the way that we immediately started planning to have surgery.

On Thursday, Dr. Hines sent me to Women's hospital to go ahead and get admitted for surgery the next day. Upon entering Women's hospital, I had a sick feeling over me. The last time I had been at Women's was when we lost our baby! This was really hard for me to swallow all over again. Once I got there, they immediately took me to do paper work and blood work. After this was done, they send me back to work and told me that they would see me the next day at 10 am.

On Friday morning, Preston and I woke up and got ready to go to the hospital. My heart was heavy because I had remembered doing the same thing we we were admitted to the hospital for the d and c. Once we got to the hospital, the waiting game began. Preston, my mom, my dad, and my mother in law were all there to keep me company. I was really nervous about his surgery because I knew that there were alot of risk involved. They told me that the surgery lasted about 3 hours and that Dr. Hines thinks that he was able to get EVERYTHING done that he wanted to get done. This is such a blessing. Once I got back to my room, my sister, Dennis, Abbey, Brandon, and Coleson were there to visit. This was such a great surprise. I love my sister so much and she has been there to support me through every step of the way. She and her family mean the world to me and Preston and we always love when they are around.

Since Friday, I have just been resting and trying to recover from surgery. The pain has not been near as bad as I thought it would be. If I am laying down, I do not feel any pain at all. The doctor told me that he was not going to release me back to work until Wednesday so for me to get some rest.

I want to thank everyone who has emailed us, called us, brought flower, brought dinner, test us, etc. It means the world to us to know that we have such an amazing support group behind us!! I go back to the doctor next Friday to see how i am healing. Please pray that I have a speedy recovery and that Dr. Hines feels like he got all he needed to get!!

Specialist Appointment

Yesterday, we went to meet our specialist Dr. Hines. I had a whirlwind of emotions going into this appointment. I have been having a hard time swallowing everything that has gone on over the last several months. I kept waiting for answers that we were not getting. After the appointment, I feel like some of this has cleared up. The doctor gave us several options that we could do. First of all, he gave us the option of trying again with of course a high risk of having another miscarriage or having a premature baby. After talking with Preston, if this condition as a fixable outcome, we don't really think that we can go through another miscarriage. Although we have looked strong on the outside, this has really been very hard for us to swallow and we still struggle with the loss of our baby everyday. The second option was to go in on Wednesday and have another test test run to make sure we have the diagnosis correct. He thinks that he knows what it is but is not 100% sure. If what he think we have is true, there is a pretty simple surgery that can be performed to clear up my condition. Although I will still be at risk while pregnant, it will make me have a normal uterus which will allow for ultimate conditions to get pregnant. This is the option that Preston and I wanna take.

With all of this said, PLEASE pray that we find out on Wednesday that I can have surgery to remove the septum and allow for me to be normal. If we find out that I can have surgery, we will schedule it Wednesday for the middle of September. The doctor did say that there would be a "long" waiting period after the surgery before it would be safe for me to conceive. This was not exactly what I wanted to hear but it is what it is and we are trusting in God and know that this is His plan.

I pray every night for the future angel that Preston and I will have soon. Our baby should know how much we have prayed for him/her and how much it is wanted. I know that God is showing us how to be patient, how to follow His plan, and we are going to appreciate our precious angel all that much more. Please continue to pray that we will have patience to get through this and that we can continue to keep our faith in Jesus Christ. Also, I would like to thank all of our family and friends who have dealt with us during this tragic time in our lives. Thanks so much for all the calls, text, sweet notes, dinners, and simple listening ears that you guys have had. I was so blessed by all the text and phone calls that we got after we saw the specialist to check on us. You guys will never know how much these call and text have meant to us.

Our Trip to Destin

This past Friday we went to Destin with Mr. and Mrs. Gough for 5 days. It was exactly what the doctor had ordered for us. We had so much fun just hanging out on the balcony, shopping around town, drinking wine, and best of all eating at so many different restaurants around town!! We had so much fun hanging out with Preston's parents and we enjoyed the time we got to spend with them. I am so thankful for both of our families and how much they mean to us. After all we have been through in the last 2 months, it was so nice to just get away from it all!

On Sunday, Preston and Michael decided they wanted to go fishing! These are some of the fish that they caught in the Goughs pond at their house! Preston thought these fish were between 6 and 7 pounds! It was so much fun watching them fish and they had such a good time.

So there is not much to tell you guys right now about me and "the situation" at hand except that we have an appointment with the specialist on August 18 at 10:30! This is when ALL our questions will be answered! We are looking forward to this appointment and pray that Dr. Hines has a plan for us! We know God has given him our plan and that we are going to be ok! Please continue to pray that we have patience to wait until this appointment. Its so hard to continue to wait and wait and wait! I feel like its been a year since we lost the baby when in reality its been just a second over a month! Wow! How our lives have changed since then!!

This is our new chocolate lab that Preston LOVES to death!! I have to admit I think he is pretty cute as well! Preston and I have had our dog Bailey for 6 years and thought it was time to get her a friend. We have been looking for a sign to get another dog. Well, our sign was given to us in Sunday school when this precious dog was going to be put to sleep cause his family was going to be unable to take it with them when they moved and they could not find a home!! I saw Preston heart sink to the ground when they announced this and I immediately new that I would have a new friend at my house! :)

Preston and I have gotten to feel the work of God this week and the power of prayer. We found out today that I DO NOT have two uterus and two cervix. Rather, I have a septum that goes all the way down my uterus that photographs like two. The septum does not have blood flood going through it so it can be easily remover via surgery. This will make me "normal." THIS WAS THE BEST POSSIBLE NEWS THAT WE COULD GET CONSIDERING THAT WE KNEW SOMETHING WAS WRONG. We should be meeting with the specialist in the next week or so to make sure he thinks surgery is the way to go and to schedule it. We are so thankful for everyone who has prayed for us, called us, sent sweet notes, etc! You all mean the world to us and are how we have gotten through this difficult time!

GOOD!!!!!!!!!

I am so excited to announce that the fasting and test was sooo worth it! We got a call from Dr Cole today about 1:30 and I do have to admit that I was thinking negative and that my heart dropped to the floor when her number showed up on my phone. I could tell when she said hey that we had gotten good news! We found out that I have two kidneys and working urinary tracts going to both of them. For those of you that did not know, there was a good chance that I would only have one kidney because it goes along with have two uterus/two cervix. Now why you have two of everything that you don't need and one of something you need two of I will never know! This is not the case for me though!!! We are so thankful for this great news and know that this is the power of prayers and Gods grace that we got this news! Although this is good and we are SOOO excited, we are now looking toward Friday to close out this journey of getting answers. Please pray that we get the same good news on Friday that we got today!

Hey guys! I have not had anything very exciting to say lately but I thought I would give you guys an update! I have not been able to eat anything solid since dinner last night because I have an IVP test tomorrow. Basically, this is a test to determine how much function I have in my kidney/kidneys! This has been horrible but its going to be able to give us so much information towards our future. All I keep think is how worth it this is going to be when we have our precious little angel! Please pray that the radiologist is able to get the information that we need and that Dr. Cole is able to read the test and get the information she is looking for!

Thanks to everyone who has been praying for us and thinking about us during this time in our lives. We are so thankful to have such wonderful friends and families to help us get through this!

We have been waiting to come for a while! We went back to the doctor today and got the best news we could ask for at this point. We found out that my operation was as good as we could have asked for. Everything healed great and no scare tissue that she could see! This is excellent news for us! Now that I am healed, we are going to schedule a MRI for early next week. This is going to be KEY to this process. This will allow us to determine exactly whats functioning and what the next step is going to be. We will be able to determine if both uterus/cervix are working and if there is truly a septum dividing them. Once we determine this, we will be able to determine if surgery is warranted and if my doctor will be able to continue to see us or if a specialist is going to be brought in! We got good news today but still a lot left to be determined over the next several days/weeks. Please continue to pray we continue to get good answers and we continue to make the right decision. We are still focusing on God and know that He is the only one that truly knows the plan that lies ahead!

A special family member of Preston's sent me this bible verse this morning when I was getting nervous and anxious about Thursday (which is our next doctors appointment to come up with a plan.) This really hit home to me this morning as I was struggling to stay positive! I am so thankful that she sent me this because it made me hold my head up high and know that the Lord is here for us and that everything is going to be ok! Please pray for me and Preston as Thursday approaches! I can't wait to find out some answers and know a plan for the next several weeks!

Our Devastating Loss :(

As most of you know, Preston and I got the devastating news last Wednesday that we lost our precious baby that we were expecting. I do honestly have to say this is one of the hardest things I have ever had to comprehend in my entire life! Although Preston and I have been through so much in the last 4 days, we have put our faith in God and we know that this is meant to be and that we are trusting in his plan for our life and know that this was meant to be. To give you a little information on the situation, we have discovered that I have a "double horned uterus." This basically means that I have two cervix and two uterus. In between the two cervix and uterus, there is a septum dividing them into two areas. I know right....CRAZY!!! My doctor stated that she had never seen this in the 8 years that she has been practicing. My doctor does not believe that the "double horned uterus" caused the miscarriage but that it was just a normal miscarriage that lots of people go through. This is good news! Dr. Cole does think that we are going to be able to have children on our on!! More good news. So, what do we do now?? First of all, we spend lots of time together and with family and get me well from the surgery which took place on Thursday. Then, we go back to the doctor in two weeks to make sure that I have properly healed from the surgery! Next, we go in for a MRI to see exactly what we have going on and that everything seems to be functioning properly. Then, we see a specialist that Dr. Cole has recommended us to that has seen this before and has done corrective surgery to give the girl a "normal" uterus! So, this is where we are now! Please pray that Preston and I can continue to have a positive attitude on the situation and pray that we make good decisions over the next couple of weeks.

I would like to thank all the wonderful people in our lives for the sweet phone call, text, flowers, dinners, support, prayers, etc. You guys will never how much you have touched mine and Preston's lives. Also, I would like to especially thank Mom, Dad, Mr. Gough, Mrs. Gough, Stephanie, Dennis, Michael, Rebecca, and Lauren. Without you guys, Preston and I would not have gotten through this!! You guys have stood by us with open arms during the hardest time in our lives and there is no way with can ever thank you enough for this. We love each and every one of you with all our hearts!

HAPPY 2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO ME AND PRESTON!!!!

As you might have noticed Preston and I have had SOOO much to celebrate over the last several weeks. This past weekend Preston and I went to New Orleans to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary! We walked around the square, went to the I max/aquarium, and even at benigets (which the baby loves)!! We had such a great time and we cant wait to take our baby back to New Orleans and let them experience all the fun things to do. This year for our anniversary Preston got me some flowers, a manicure/pedicure, and a bracelet from my favorite store, Smitten Gift Boutique. I am so thankful for Preston and all he does for us. he is such a strong person and keeps our little growing family going! I can't wait to see what the next several years is going to bring in our lives. We are so lucky to have such wonderful families to share all of these memories with! I love you Preston and can't wait for many years to come!

Yes...... We are so excited to announce that we are expecting a precious angel in December! This is something that Preston and I have thought about and prayed about for a long time now! We could not be more excited about this knew addition to our family! Wow... Preston and I have had such a busy weekend so far!!! First, Preston's birthday was Friday so we woke up excited to start the day! Happy birthday to the most wonderful man I know! I hope your birthday was great! Then, we went to the Mississippi Children's Home Wine Tasting. It was such a wonderful event and I have enjoyed being on the MCHS Axillary this year. It is so rewarding to get to do things to help raise money for these exceptional children! It was one of my favorite things that I get to be a part of! On Saturday, I woke up and went to my nieces softball game or at least part of it until the rain set in. If any of you know me, I LOVE going to watch my niece play softball!! She is amazing at it and its so fun to get to go and cheer her. On Saturday, we had planned on going to the crawfish hut to celebrate mine and Preston's birthday. Once the rain set it, we decided that we were most likely not going to be able to do this so we decided to get some live crawfish and cook them ourselves!! We has SUCH a great time. THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT CAME OVER TO CELEBRATE OUR 25TH BIRTHDAYS WITH US. YOU ALL MADE IT VERY SPECIAL FOR US AND WE GREATLY APPRECIATE IT!!! Preston and I had such a fabulous weekend! It was just what the doctor ordered! On Friday night, Preston and I went to eat Mexican with Michael, Rebecca, and the girls! We had such a great time. The girls are so cute and sweet! We just love hanging out with them so we are always looking for an opportunity to get together with them. On Saturday, Preston and I got up early, packed our stuff, and headed to Starkville. For those of you who know us well, you know we were very excited about this. Our wonderful friends Martha and Will called and asked us to go up for the night with them and with a little arm pulling we were convinced to go up for the night! Trust me, it did not take much to convince us to go!! :) We had THE BEST TIME! We went out to eat at all the restaurants that we use to love while we were in college and even tried out a new one that has recently been added! We also took in a baseball game while we were there! Even though the bulldogs lost, we still had a wonderful time! We look forward to many more weekends away with them! Thanks for asking us to go guys! It was a blast!

Its funny where life takes us after college! Most of my friends ended up here in Jackson but there are few that live off! We try several times a year to get together and have a girls weekend to make sure and keep in touch! We went to the coast for this particular girls weekend! One of my closest friends Holly got married on March 13. We had so much fun getting her ready for her big day. Her batchelorette party was so much fun. First, we went to paint at Easily Amused. I will never forget Stephanie calling me and telling me that she was having a baby! It was one of the most exciting days in my life! She has been wanting this for a long time and I had been convincing her that it would be ok and that she would have one soon! And look what a precious gift she got! Then, when I found out she was having a little boy, I was even more exciting. Stephanie and I were the only two children in our family so we never got to play with little boys! It was so fun picking out little blue things for him and preparing for him to come into our little family! I can not imagine what life would be like without him now that we have had him for a whole year! Its so hard to believe that he has been with us that long! He brightens up all of our lives to the fullest everyday!

I can not believe that Taylor is a year old! The time flies by so fast. It seems like only yesterday that Rebecca was calling us and telling her she was pregnant with her! Rebecca and Michael had the family over for dinner to help celebrate her first birthday! We all had such a good time! Taylor was so cute walking all around at her party! It is so funny to me to see how she interacts with Preston! SHE LOVES HIM! She is always reaching to go with him and HE LOVES IT WHEN SHE DOES THIS! Zesty Crockpot Chicken!

Here is a recipe that my sister in law gave me that's SOOOO good! You literally cook it in the crock pot and serve it over pasta! Its fantastic!

Ingredients
4 boneless, thawed chicken breasts
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 pkg. zesty Italian salad dressing mix
1 c. water
1 tsp. parsley
1 pkg cream cheese

Directions
Place chicken in crock pot. Blend soup, dressing mix, water and parsley, add to crock pot. Cook on low for 6to8 hours. 1 hour before serving, add the package of cream cheese. Serve over rice or noodles.

One of our new years resolutions is to eat healthy. So, I actually used fat free everything and wheat pasta!!! Also, I added about 2 scoops of fat free sour cream in mine when I added the cream cheese to add a little extra flavor! It was good and low fat!!!

Happy New Year to everyone!! We went to eat at the Strawberry Cafe with lots of friends and then came back and rung in the new year at our house! Preston and I are so lucky to have such great friends to ring in the new year with! Here are some pictures from the night!

Thanks again to all our friends for coming out and celebrating with us. Preston and I are so excited to see what 2010 brings in our lives! I hope for a year as great as 2009 with lots of change! :)

I know this is a late post, but Preston and I have been so busy with all the Christmas activities that we have had this year. Its so different being married and having 2 families to spend Christmas with. I would not have it any other way though. Preston and I are so lucky to have two wonderful families with lots of children to spend Christmas with. This year was so fun because Anderson, Abbey and Brandon were all going crazy opening gifts while Coleson and Taylor were just taking the whole idea of Christmas in. I can’t wait till next year and all the kids are running around the house opening gifts. On Christmas Eve, Preston and I went to Cleveland to spend time with my mom’s parents. We had such a good time with them and celebrating together. My mom has the most wonderful family and I always look forward to going for a visit. I just wish we could have stayed long enough to get some of Mimi’s cooking. J Then, we came back here for Christmas morning and went to my sisters to watch her 3 kids see what Santa brought them. Thanks so much to Stephanie and Dennis for allowing us to spend this special time with ya’ll. It was soo much fun to watch the kids open gifts and spend Coleson’s first Christmas with him. We left her house and went to Preston’s parents house to exchange gifts with them. Anderson and Taylor are just so cute and did not know what to open first. Its such a joy to have them in our lives and I don’t know what we would do without our family!!! THANKS SO MUCH FOR ALL THE GIFTS THAT WE RECEIVED AND THE WONDERFUL TIME WE GOT TO SPEND WITH OUR FAMILIES!

This is what I woke up to Saturday morning!! I was so excited to see our house covered in snow!! Anyone who knows me well knows that I get extremely excited when it snows. Preston and I watched it snow Friday night until I just could not keep my eyes open any longer. Then, I went to bed thinking that I had seen all I was going to see!! It made for a perfect morning!

Preston told me that he had made me a snow man!!! It was so freaking cute!! You got to love a southern boy that does not see now very much!

Hope everyone has a great weekend! Once again, Preston and I are extremely busy. Last night, we went out to celebrate Dennis 30th birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DENNIS!!!!!!! We were so excited to celebrate with him last night and be able to celebrate this milestone in his life.

Oh my gosh!!! I can not believe that Mississippi State pulled out a win on this one! I am so proud of our boys!! They looked so good! I am really sad that this years football season is over. Mississippi
State football has become a family tradition for my family. Mom, Dad, me, Preston, Stephanie, Dennis and the kids love tailgating in the Junction and pulling for the bulldogs. This particular game two of our best friends game and stayed with us and went to the game with us. We had so much fun catching up with them and celebrating the win.

Preston and I are going to be so busy between now and Christmas. It seems like we have something to do at all times. I am not going to complain because I love being being involved and hanging out with people. Hope everyone

Hey guys!! Sorry I am so late posting. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!! Preston and I had the best Thanksgiving. We went to Cleveland and spend the whole day with my family. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful and loving family!!

Here are some things I found myself thankful for a this day:

(1) A wonderful God who loves and watches over me!

(2) The most wonderful husband a girl could ask for.

(3) The best Mom, Dad, and in Laws in the world.

I guess its been a while since I updated. Preston and I have been so busy lately! Here is a picture from the MSU vs. Florida game. We had so much fun at the game and I thought we should have one! LOL!! I also had a lot of fun messing with the guys in front of me who just happened to be Florida fans and just happened to like my cowbell in between their two heads. I know they hated me but I had a great time!!

Hey guys!! Preston and I had such a great time in Nashville. We went with my parents for a weekend getaway! Preston and I have been talking about wanting to get away for a while now so we started looking for places to go. We looked into New Orleans and realized the Saints were playing so there were no hotels available! We realized that the Bulldogs were playing in Nashville so we decided that we would take a road trip up there for fun!!! Here are some pictures from the weekend:

Hey guys!!! I bet you thought I would never blog again!! Preston and I have had so much going on lately that I really have not had 5 minutes to sit down and blog!!! We have been going to all the State football games so that has been keeping us busy!! Although we are not winning many, we enjoy going and tailgating with friends/family!!

Preston and I are going to be headed to Nashville this weekend with Mom and Dad to watch the bulldawgs play MTSU! I have never been to an away game so I am so excited about this!!! I will post pictures from the adventure!!!!

Preston and I have been very busy lately. We have been remodeling our bathroom!!! We have had so much fun doing it and we think it turned out just great!!!

Hey guys!!! I am just going to be honest and say that I kinda got bored of blogging because I don't think anybody looks at it!!! I decided today that I would update it just in case we had anyone out there that was still looking at the blog!! Here are some pictures that we took on our anniversary trip to Destin to stay at the Gough's Condo. We were lucky enough to get to ask our friends Martha, Will, Kathryn, and Clark to go along on the trip with us!

We had such a good time on our trip!! I ended up with alot of pictures of Kathryn and Clark because they forgot their camera that weekend so I was their photographer!! Preston and I are so lucky to have such wonderful friends to go with us to celebrate this amazing time in our lives. Thanks guys so much for going with us!! We could not have asked for anyone better to celebrate with out!!

I am posting our year anniversary post a little earlly because on May 24 we will actually be in Destin celebrating!!! We are so excited about that! Here are some wedding pictures that I wanted to posted to look back on the day I married the most wonderful man!!!

I just love looking back at our wedding pictures!! It was the most wonderful day of my life to date!!! Preston and I were sitting around talking about all the wonderful things that have happened to us in the last year so I wanted to share:
(1) Preston got a wonderful job and has moved from trainee to a full time underwriter!! This came with two raises over the last year so we are so very thankful for that!!
(2) I graduated with my masters in speech language pathology and will be started my job on June 1st at Brandon Court Nursing and Rehab!
(3) Preston and I have been together for 5 years this past March! CRAZY!!
(4) We bought a house which we LOVE!!
(5) We have gotten so close to both of our families over the past year!! It is so nice!! We enjoy spending as much time as possible with them!
(6) We had both a niece and a nephew during the past year! That has been so fun!! We love them so much!

I can't believe we have been married a year!!! It has been such a fun year and I can't wait for many more to come!! I love you so much Preston and can't wait to see what our future holds!

Hey guys!! Preston and I have been so busy in the last couple of weeks!!! Although we have been busy, it been a good thing!!! I want everyone to know that I am now Bethany Harrelson, SLP!!!! This is soooo exciting for me and Preston. We could not be happier with our lives at this current moment!!! Thanks to everyone who has prayed for us during this time in our lives. It was not easy but thanks to much family and friend support we got through it!! I graduated on May 8th with highest honors and could not be happier!! Preston and I were talking after graduation the another night about how much he and I have been through together. When we started dating, I still had five years of school left!! CRAZY!!!! I want to warn everyone that there are lots of pictures below!! We have had alot going on. Here are the pictures:

When I got home, he was still talking about how much that meant to him!! Its amazing how quickly a little girl can win her Uncle Preston's heart!!

Hey!! I know you guys are soo sick of hearing about me passing something, but here we go!!! I just found out this morning that I passed my national test!!!!!! I am sooo excited about this. I have a year to pass it but wanted to get it out of the way on the first try!!! It is so fun to see all our hard work and studying pay off. My two study partners that would study with me every night for like two or three months passed as well. Congrats to you both!!! I guess now its time to tell you guys that I have a JOB!!! I am going to be working at Brandon Court Nursing and Rehab!!! I am extremely excited about this opportunity. I have tried to keep it to myself as much as possible just in case I did not pass my test to graduate!! I would like to thank you all who have prayed for Preston and I during this time in our lives. It has not always been easy for us, but it is only going to get so much better. We are so excited for me to start my job and to see what the future brings in our lives!!

Hey guys!! Preston and I decided last night to go watch my little man Brandon play baseball!!! he is so cute in his little uniform!! We always try to go to several games throughout the year to show him our support!! Last year, he was so young and was just really learning the sport!! Last night, he did AWESOME! He hit the ball like it was out of style!! I was so proud of him. He would get embarrassed when he would come up to bat and we would all be yelling for him. I have a feeling his little team is going to be so good this year!! Good luck Brandon!! Abbey is playing softball as well and we can not wait till we can make it to see her. She is an amazing softball player and so much fun to watch. I know she will be the star of her team again this year. It was soo good to see you all last night!

Hey guys!! We had dinner with the Gough's last night. We were all there and it was so much fun!! Preston and I always love getting together to spend time with our families!! Hey Guys!!! My test are officially over!! I am so excited to be done with that phase in my life!!! Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this special time in my life. I would especially like to thank my parents and the Gough's. They have done so much for us over the past year it is not even funny. Without them, my degree would not be possible. I will find out in four weeks if I passed them or not!! We are going to keep our fingers crossed that I do not have to take them again.

Hey guys!! I know I have been a horrible blogger lately but I have had oh so much on my plate. I will be sitting for my comprehensive finals on Thursday and Friday. This is a test that determines if I have eligible for graduation. They are able to include anything that we have learned site undergraduate. This is six years of information. I have SUPER stressed out about it. Also, Saturday I sit for the Praxis. This is our national license examination. It is similar to boards for nurses. I am also very nervous about this test. I have 3 straight days worth the test!!! Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers during this stressful time in my life!!! Preston is so ready for it to be over. I have not been the most pleasant wife he could have asked for over the last 3 months. Preston has been doing most of the cooking and cleaning because I have spent all my extra time with my nose in the books. Hopefully, it will all be over on Saturday!!!!!!

Hey Guys!! We have another baby to show off. Coleson Thomas Steed was born on January 29 @ 6:21. He weighed 6 pounds 7 ounces. He is just adorable. There is nothing in this world like having a sister have a baby!! Preston and I are so very lucky to have had both of our sisters have one very recently. It was so awesome to be apart of this special day with her. It was not always fun seeing her hurting and stuff but it was well worth it in the end. Thanks for bringing our little angel in this world. Hey. Preston and I decided that we had not had our share of traveling over the holidays so we went to see our dear friends Kat and Clark for New Years Eve. This was an amazing trip. It was wonderful to be able to catch up with them and see them!! Thanks guys for letting us come down and stay!! You were amazing hostesses!!

Hey guys!! We had such an amazing Christmas this year. It was so fun to get to experience Christmas with Preston and our families all together. We have never gotten to do this so it was so much fun. I will be posting pictures soon!! Here is how it went:

Christmas Eve: Cleveland, MS to my grandparents

Christmas Day: All day with the Gough's in Madison

Day after: Christmas with my sister and parents in Vicksburg

We literally ran a Christmas marathon but I would not change it for the world. We hope that everyone has an amazing Christmas and that Santa was good to you!!!!!!!

Deer Hunting

Preston and I decided that we were going to go hunting yesterday so we asked my brother-in-law to come with us because he has been hunting for that perfect FIRST deer to kill. I always like to go with Preston once a year so I thought this would be a good time!! We had such a good time!! My brother-in-law did kill a deer so he was really excited about it (it may have not been exactly what he was hunting for but it worked)!! We are going to have to get my niece and nephew up there soon!!
